The nose is packed full of redcurrants refreshed by the underlying raspberry. Sweet fruit gives an appealing richness on the mid-palate with squashy strawberry very much in evidence but behind the sweetness there is freshness that lifts the flavours and brightens the finish. It makes an ideal summer apéritif but there is enough character to go with various fish dishes and the lighter meats such as chicken. Derek Smedley MW.
